IMF worsens Russia’s 2016 decline forecast to 1% from 0.6%
WASHINGTON, Jan 19 (PRIME) -- The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has worsened its outlook for the Russian gross domestic product (GDP) in 2016 to 1% decline from a 0.6% fall, according to a World Economic Outlook report published Tuesday.
The IMF has retained its 1% growth forecast for 2017.
In 2015, the Russian economy contracted 3.7%, or 0.1 percentage point above the IMF forecast, it said.
